ABOUT ME
Devon Krisanda - Graphic Designer
Hi, I'm Devon (Diggity) Krisanda and I'm the owner and co-founder of Keep Dreaming Art.
I fell in love with graphic design in my very first class in high school when my teacher gave us a bunch of random shapes in adobe illustrator and said "you have 40 minutes". There was no clear objective and I had zero experience with the program.

It was 40 minutes of freedom that will last a lifetime.

THE GRAPHIC DESIGN PROCESS
How It's Done
Define the Problem
Free Consultation
The first step in the design process is to define the problem and gather as much information as we can about your venture and dreams. This will help make any complex problem solving much easier.

-
Where does your business currently stand? Where do you want it to be? What's stopping it from getting there?
-
What is the purpose, objective, or ultimate goal of this design project?
-
What is your target audience and are there any specific design constraints?
-
What context and message should the design convey?
The
Drawing Board
From here we'll hit the drawing board and start the creative process by sketching out the initial concepts to visualize possibilities. We'll begin creating rough sketches to experiment with layouts, typography, and visual elements.
Digital Rendering
Now that we have more of an idea to work with, the last part of the design process is to transfer the chosen sketch to design software like adobe illustrator or photoshop and develop a more refined and detailed digital version. Through this new version, we'll be experimenting with color schemes, fonts, and other design elements to find the right fit.
Is There More?
After we decide on your logo and you're happy with the design work, we'll want to make sure that all other designs follow the logo and fit the theme that we set to ensure brand consistency.
The ultimate goal is for a clear and consistent design for all branded material to help your company stand out.
A local bluegrass band from the capital region who was seeking a new band logo that would also be used for band merch. Based on a hand drawing, we came up with a design that had a rough feel, like a hand drawing, and it was applied to tank tops, t-shirts, and stickers.
Design Projects
This North Eastern chain smoke shop decided to push their brand and wanted 6 new custom dab mat designs. Upon approval, a bulk order of 188 mats was placed that would be distributed to their 6 locations.
Peace Treats
These 2 owners came to me when they had just formed their idea for CBD dog treats. They had an idea in mind for a friendly logo that would also be suitable to use on their product packaging.
FROM THE BEGINNING
From Brushstrokes to Business

Like most people, I had no idea what I wanted to do the rest of my life (forever is a long time). It was the summer of 2017 and I was at a low point in my life. I would often draw as a way to escape reality for a while and even occasionally try my hand at painting.

My nephew and Co-founder, Chiblay Slice, had gotten into glass blowing around 2014 and you could tell he had a passion for it. I had admired his persistence and decided to paint him a little something to hang in his workshop in the hopes that it'll inspire him to keep going. To help him keep his dream alive.

He was left in shock when I surprised him with the gift, and a few days later, he had reached out and asked if I wanted to join him in his quest. To make a living doing the things we love to do. To create art.

I always had a big place in my heart for creativity and freedom of expression. But I never thought I could do it for a living.

The moral of the story? Don't sleep on your dreams.
